Victoria Beckham Launches Calligraphy-Inspired Makeup Brushes
Victoria Beckham is taking Victoria Beckham Beauty to the next level with the launch of a luxurious collection of nine makeup brushes, designed with the precision of calligraphy pens. The release marks the brand’s first venture into standalone beauty tools.
“I like to create what I desire,” Beckham told ELLE. “I’ve been obsessed with brushes for as long as I’ve been obsessed with makeup.”
Crafted with sleek dark wood handles featuring ergonomic curves for a comfortable grip, the brushes combine functionality with artistry. The bristles are ultra-soft synthetic fibers, designed to mimic the smoothness and precision of calligraphy strokes.
“My focus is always on the ‘why,’ and the brushes that have made it into this collection have earned their place and right to be there,” Beckham told Vogue.
The majority of the brushes are single-ended, with two double-ended options for added versatility. Among Beckham’s personal favorites is the Sculpt & Blend brush, which she uses for contouring and eye makeup.
“I do love the Sculpt & Blend, because there’s so much you can do with it. I use it for my contour but also my eyes,” she said in her Vogue interview.
Beckham, who has worked with some of the industry’s top makeup artists, was meticulous in developing the brushes. She recalled scrapping the original Contour Stylus because it didn’t meet her exacting standards.
“I called them and said, ‘Listen, I’m so sorry and I know no one’s going to be happy to hear this, but we have to stop,’” she admitted to Vogue. “I’m a perfectionist and I’m hard to please—which I think is a good thing. Because when I’m happy, it means that we’re ready to release it.”
The collection also features a fan brush for bronzer application, a tool Beckham personally loves. When ELLE asked if its blonde-tipped bristles were inspired by her husband David Beckham’s famous ’90s hairstyle, she laughed and replied:
“Well, it’s not David’s hair, but I do have little natural blonde highlights at the front of my hair, so maybe that’s the unconscious reason.”
Victoria Beckham Beauty has already made waves with its best-selling Satin Kajal Eyeliners and Contour Stylus, both praised for their sleek, functional design. The new brush collection reflects the same level of thoughtfulness and attention to detail.
The Victoria Beckham Beauty Brush Collection launches April 2 and will be available on the brand’s website.
